Cascina Valle Asinari

Cascina Valle Asinari is a young Piedmontese company born from the purchase of the historic Bricco Asinari winery by Oscar Farinetti and Piero Bagnasco. The Cascina Valle Asinari estate is located in San marzano Oliveto, in the province of Asti and boasts about 20 hectares of vineyards mainly cultivated with barbera and nebbiolo. The two entrepreneurs immediately took advantage of this commercial opportunity to give new life to this winery, with the idea of producing high quality wines starting from organic grapes. The conversion of the vineyards was in fact immediate and a new cellar will soon be available, equipped with the best equipment for contemporary winemaking. The estate, located among the splendid vineyards of the property, is surrounded by gentle hills planted with vines, which combine to create an ideal microclimate for the cultivation of native grapes such as barbera and nebbiolo. The Cascina Valle Asinari was born from the desire to enhance the local grapes and the wonderful limestone and marly terroir of the Asti area. In the cellar, spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in cement, long maturation and aging in wood allow the wines to express the full potential of the varietals in harmony with nature and rich in territorial contents.
