Stolichnaya

Vodka is a distillate originating from Eastern Europe, whose authorship has always been disputed between Russia and Poland. Obtained by distilling cereals or potatoes, it has always been considered a traditional Russian alcoholic beverage. Over the centuries, produced by countless legal and illegal distilleries, Vodka finds its great diffusion in central and western Europe thanks to Napoleon, who after having known the distillate during the Russian campaign of 1812, used it to try to counteract the great winter cold looming among the troops of his army.
In business for over a century, Stolichnaya today is part of a group also made up of a Russian farm that grows wheat directly in its fields, and an innovative bottling plant in Latvia, which filters and bottles Vodka. itself. Founded in 1901 to be precise, the Stolichnaya distillery was created by the Moscow authorities to guarantee the state the production of superior quality Vodka.
After the opening of the distillery, around the 40s of the last century, the Vodka brand "Stoli" was created, which still distinguishes the product today.
The attention to raw materials has always been almost obsessive, the wheat is harvested in several passes, after which only the best grains are selected for distillation. The water comes from the pure river near the city of Tambov, where the distillery is also located. The heads and tails are immediately discarded and only the heart of the distillation originates the Vodka. Filtration takes place three times on three different and very pure materials, first on very fine quartz sands and then through Russian birch coal. This unique process in constant improvement has brought Vodka Stoli among the world's top spirits, universally recognized as one of the best ever.
