Bombay Sapphire

Bombay Sapphire was born in 1987 and is owned by the Bacardi group. It owes its name to the Bombay Star, a 182-carat sapphire found in Sri Lanka. Traditional and at the same time innovative in its production processes which provide for a triple distillation for its gins through three copper stills "Carter Head": unlike the standard method, which involves the infusion of botanicals, Carter Head stills have botanicals positioned above the alcohol tank, so that the vapors pass through the ingredients and capture their aroma. The label features an effigy of Queen Victoria, Empress of India.
