Marino

A small rural center of less than 4 thousand souls, Camporeale is a municipality located in the easternmost area of the province of Palermo, close to the border with the territory of Trapani. In an area where winds and breezes blow from the sea are constant, about twenty kilometers away, gentle and sunny hillsides offer a particularly suitable habitat for viticulture. In this context, which has always been a family business, we meet the Marino wine company, located at about 450 meters above sea level.
For ten years managed by the spouses Vincenza Pisciotta and Nicola Marino, assisted by their children Jessica, Andrea and Fabrizio, the estate cultivates with care and passion the approximately 15 hectares of vineyards owned, planted mainly with native varieties. Between the rows, in full respect of the environment, nature and ecosystem, both red and white grapes grow.
From a viticulture that follows biological methods, pure, concentrated, rich and valuable clusters are obtained, which arriving in the cellar are vinified following innovative processes, applied however in full respect of the typicality and those that are the most ancient territorial traditions. Nero d'Avola and syrah, among the red berried grapes, flank cataratto, grillo, malvasia and chardonnay, as regards the white berried ones. In the cellar, after vinification, aging is carried out, which uses steel tanks or barriques, chosen from time to time in order to enhance the personality of the varietal and the peculiarities of the terroir.
This is how the “Marino” labels were born: characteristic and expressive wines of the Big Island, original and of quality. From "Grintoso" to "Flavì", from "Sublime" to "Sumptuous", from "Anfà" to "Harmonious", they are all bottles that tell the best of Sicily and the best Sicilians, those who still believe in the uniqueness of their lands capable of giving wines like few others meet.
